Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how SmileyTix (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information we collect
- Account and order data: name, email, phone number, billing details, tickets purchased, attendee names and answers to event questions.
- Payment data: processed by our payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal). We receive limited details such as card brand, last four digits and transaction IDs; we do not store full card numbers.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed, and cookies or similar technologies.
- Information from others: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email and profile ID; Organizers may provide attendee lists for their events.
2. How we use information
- To process orders, deliver tickets, provide customer support and send transactional messages (email/SMS).
- To prevent fraud, bots and scalping, enforce purchase limits and secure accounts (including two-factor authentication).
- To improve and personalize the Platform and, with your consent where required, send marketing.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share your order and attendee information with the Organizer of the event you buy tickets for, who uses it under their own privacy policy. We also share data with service providers (payment processing, email/SMS delivery, hosting, analytics), with law enforcement when legally required, and in connection with a merger or sale of our business. We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep your cart. If enabled, analytics and advertising tags (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) may set cookies; you can control cookies in your browser settings.
5. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile in My account, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and request access to or deletion of your data by emailing support@smileytix.local. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Utah), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. California residents: see the “Notice at Collection” above and contact us to exercise CCPA/CPRA rights.
6. Data retention
We keep order records as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure.
8. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
